katsumashi artist with like 3 listeners strikes again this feels so. calming. there are multiple 10+ minute tracks but instead of being super complex and multi sectioned theyre that long to keep the vibe going. I could fall asleep to this. best ambient folk album I've heard so far tbh Favorite track: Grow.

dillon. as a massive fan of Sunnsetter, this is perhaps their slowest, mournful and dejected album. It grows on me with every lengthy, encompassing listen. Adore it Favorite track: með vatni, með vindi(with the water, with the wind).

recentlypositive Like an ascent to the afterlife. This album can be used as a healing tool for broken hearts or crippled souls. A personal apology and promise for the future. The tide is consuming the beach as you watch from the ocean Favorite track: Slow me down.

about

So last year around the end of the summer I suffered from a mental breakdown that I probably should have been hospitalized for but wasn't. So instead I left Toronto for a bit and moved in with my mom for a period of 4 months.

During those 4 months my one and only goal was to write music that was personal to me, away from all the preconceived notions I had about my own music and production quality and the expectations that I feel others might have about what my music should sound like.

So I did that.

I've been sitting on these songs for a few months not knowing what to do because like everything I've ever done they are not "finished"... There is still many things I want, but know I will never do to these songs to truly make them finished, but this is the same problem I ran into 2-3 years ago when I went to release a full length album and never did, because I thought the project wasn't fully realized or the songs weren't finished or I felt the pressure from people around me and on the Internet to create and or achieve a certain image with the music that I myself didn't understand how to achieve.

I feel that same pressure building again with this music, but where I am mentally these days is so far removed from that period of time, and to be honest I want to say I no longer care (even though I do). So my way of showing myself I don't care is to put the music I've made onto the Internet for people to listen to.

This time around I hope to create a little printed journal type thing that I will sell physical copies of if you buy the package on band camp. It will be about 10$ to get a digital copy of all of my music + the journal. Or you can just download the album for 1$ (or more if you feel like supporting my effort)

Thanks.
Andrew.
